In past generations there have been too few healthy role models to emulate. In the past, after a certain age, our parents or grandparents simply gave up and gave in to the inevitability of being old, and all that the concept implied. The truth is we are all aging, starting from the moment of birth. But, here is the question to consider. Is our own aging process accelerated or slowed down? Never before has so much new and crucial information been available about how, as we age, to live a healthy and abundant life, including the practice of yoga, meditation, relaxation and breathing techniques to reduce stress. It is stress that may very well be the number one destroyer of our lives. Now, we may have the choice of wellness over illness, growth instead of stagnation, hopefulness to replace lethargy. Now is the time to take full responsibility for ourselves, knowing no one else is better suited for this crucial job of keeping our selves healthy, vital, alive.
